If you are using QuickAsyst, you have probably noticed a discrepancy. You list a ticket in the app for one price, but when you check the actual marketplace, the number is higher. It can be confusing, but there is a logical reason for it.
It is all about the "All-In" price
A federal law, The Ticket Act, recently changed the way tickets are sold. Now, marketplaces have to show the total price upfront. You won’t get hit with a surprise fee at the very last second of checkout anymore. For you as a seller, this means the price you see on the map now includes every fee and tax from the start.
The "Fee-Free" marketing trick
You will see some sites claim they have no buyer fees. The reality is that there is no such thing as a fee free marketplace. These sites are simply baking the fee into the price you see on the map. Instead of a base price plus a fee, they just show one larger total.
Every marketplace has the right to choose how much they bake in. This is why your ticket might look more expensive on one site than another. One platform just decided to bake in a higher amount than its competitor.
How we handle Seller fees at QuickAsyst
We try to keep the math as simple as possible. Every transaction has costs for both the buyer and the seller to keep the marketplace running. To make it easier for you, the seller fee you pay to QuickAsyst already includes the seller fee paid to the marketplace.
The price you see in the QuickAsyst app is your source of truth. That is your listing price. Any extra amount the buyer sees on a specific site is just that marketplace adding their own buyer fees and local sales taxes. Even if the price looks different on a marketplace, your original listing is exactly what you set in the app.
